This is a make ahead, easy salad that always gets rave reviews at gatherings. Use your imagination and play around with the ingredients!

Ingredients
  • 5 cups head lettuce, torn in pieces
  • 1 sm. box frozen petite peas, sprinkle on frozen
  • 2 cups cauliflower, bite size pieces
  • 1 cup chopped pepper (red, orange, yellow or green or combo)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets, bite size pieces
  • 1 cup celery. chopped
  • 7 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
  • 1-1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1-1/2 cups mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar or white vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 1/2 cup Chow Mein Noodles

Directions
  1. Layer ingredients in the following order in a deep salad bowl (really pretty) or a 9" x 13" glass casserole dish (easier to serve):
  2. Lettuce, cauliflower, peppers, broccoli, celery, bacon.
  3. Combine mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, water and whisk to combine. Cover salad with this dressing. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 12 hours.
  4. Uncover and sprinkle with Chow Mein noodles and serve.
