Red Wine Rib Eyes Recipe
RED WINE RIB EYES This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Dawson Estate in Richardson, Texas in 1987.

Ingredients
  • 2 rib eyes
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1/4 cup grainy mustard
  • 1/4 cup grated white onion
  • 1 teaspoon crushed garlic
  • 1/4 cup dark brown sugar firmly packed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped white onions
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Directions
  1. Combine wine, vinegar, mustard, onion, garlic, sugar, salt, pepper, Worcestershire and cayenne.
  2. Blend well the marinate rib eyes in marinade at least 2 hours.
  3. Remove from marinate and grill 8 minutes per side then sauté mushrooms and onions in butter.
  4. Top rib eyes with mushroom mixture right before serving.
