English Mushroom and Cream Bake

- 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced (I use baby portobellos) shopping list
- 2 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice shopping list
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups (6 ounces) swiss cheese, shredded shopping list
- 1 cup whipping cream shopping list
- 4 eggs shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Generously grease 4 individual ramekins, 10 ounce custard cups or French onion bowls.
- In small skillet, saute mushrooms in butter, lemon juice and Worcestershire sauce.
- Drain.
- Sprinkle 3 tablespoons cheese into bottom of each prepared baking dish.
- Add 1/4 cup whipping cream to each.
- Carefully break one egg into each over cream.
- Divide mushroom mixture over each.
- Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
- In 13x9 inch baking dish, pour in 3/4 inch hot water.
- Carefully set dishes in water.
- Cover with foil.
- Bake 15 minutes.
- Uncover and bake 10 to 15 minutes or until mixture is set and eggs are cooked.
