Sourdough Chocolate Espresso Brownies

- 2 sticks unsalted butter, melted shopping list
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder shopping list
- 1 cup sourdough starter, (I use Herman; but any will do) shopping list
- 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract shopping list
- 1 teaspoon espresso powder (I use King Arthur) shopping list
- 4 large eggs, slightly beaten shopping list
- 2 cups granulated sugar shopping list
- 3/4 cup AP-flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 400* and grease a 9x13-inch pan.
- In a large bowl, combine melted butter and cocoa and mix well.
- Add remaining ingredients in the order given, mixing well after each addition.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Test center with a toothpick for doneness. Do Not Over Bake!
- Cool in pan on wire rack. Serve warm or cooled.
