Turtle Cake

This is a yummy cake that my grandmother made when I was young.
Ingredients
- 1 box German chocolate cake mix shopping list
- 1/2 cup canned Milnot evaporated milk shopping list
- 3/4 cup melted margarine shopping list
- 14 oz. bag of caramels shopping list
- 1 cup pecans shopping list
- 1 cup chocolate chips shopping list
How to make it
- Mix the German chocolate cake mix according to the directions on the box
- Pour half of the batter in a 13x9 greased and floured pan
- Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees
- While the cake is baking, melt the caramels, sweetened condensed milk and margarine in a double boiler or in the microwave
- Pour the mixture over the cake
- Add some pecans and the chocolate chips
- Pour the rest of the cake batter over the top
- Sprinkle some chopped pecans over the top
- Bake for 20 minutes, be sure not to overbake.
