Chocolate Fudge Pecan Pie

- 1 single flaky uncooked pie crust (may use refrigerated pie crusts, but home-made takes it into a different realm) shopping list
- 6 tablespoons cocoa shopping list
- 1 stick butter shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 cup white Karo syrup shopping list
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
- 1 cup pecans (may leave them out) shopping list
How to make it
- Melt butter
- Add cocoa, stir, mixing
- Add the remaining ingredients
- Stir to mix
- Pour into unbaked pie crust
- Bake at 350 degrees until set, (about 45 minutes, more or less)
- Remove from oven, cool on wire rack
- To serve, add dollops of whipped cream around the outer edge
- Shaved chocolate may be placed in the whippeed cream dollops
- Redi-Whip in the can is perfect for a decorative dollop
