Ingredients

How to make it

  • Crush entire box of oreos ( I have found that if you put them in your food processesor it is a bit easier than crushing by hand)
  • Put oreos into large bowl, keeping 1/4 cup seperate for garnish
  • Add softened cream chees and blend well
  • Form into bite sized balls and place on parchment lined cookie sheets (I believe I have counted once and I made 74 truffles)
  • Put into fridge while making coating (it will make an easier truffle to coat)
  • Bring to boil a medium saucepan of water
  • Open up bakers chocolate and place into glass bowl and place over boiling water, make sure heat is not too high, chocolate will seize
  • Melt slowly
  • Once melted bring out truffles and dip each in chocolate and place onto parchment to set up
  • I have tried many methods to diping, I find the best way is to use a dipping fork or regular fork
  • Once all are dipped sprinkle left over oreos on top and let set up
  • These are fantastic for parties! They flew off the table during a family Christmas party.

I totally LOVE these truffles. I have made them before for Christmas and everyone loves them!Instead of crushing Oreos over the top, I drizzle white chocolate over the top. I also love it with the mint oreos! Everyone HAS to try these!

Yes, they are fabulous! I don't particularly like Oreos, but you can't tell you used them in this recipe!

My mom made these for a cookie exchange this past Christmas and they were a HUGH hit. She had planned to let me taste one of the left overs, but so many people just kept coming back for more & more that she came home empty handed. She did comment on how easy they were to make and she said they tasted like a cookie & cream cheese cake.
