Bistro French Onion Chicken

- 1 lg. sweet onion,thin sliced shopping list
- 3tsp canola oil,divided shopping list
- 2tsp brown sugar shopping list
- 2tsp balsamic vinegar shopping list
- 4 boneless,skinless chicken breast halves(4oz ea) shopping list
- 4 slices French bread baguette shopping list
- 1/4c shredded swiss cheese shopping list
How to make it
- In large non-stick skillet,cook and stir onion in 1 tsp oil over med-low heat for 10 mins. Stir in brown sugar and vinegar;cook 5-10 mins more or till trnder and golden brown. Remove,keep warm.
- In same skillet,brown chicken in remaining oil on both sides. Add broth,stirring to loosen browned bits from pan. Transfer to 11x7" baking dish coated with spray;top with onion mixture. Place baguette slice over each chicken breast;sprinkle with cheese.
- cover and bake 350 for 15 mins.Uncover and bake 3 t0 5 mins longer or till meat thermometer reads 170.
