Fried Rice

- 2 c basmati rice. shopping list
- 2 c water. shopping list
- 5 tbs sunflower oil. shopping list
- 1 carrot chopped. shopping list
- 1 selery stalk chopped. shopping list
- 5 sprigs parsley chopped. shopping list
- 1 onion chopped. shopping list
- 3 cloves garlic chopped. shopping list
- 60 gr white cabbage or pak soy or bok soy chopped. shopping list
- 3 tbs green peas. shopping list
- 30 gr green beans. shopping list
- 3 tbs soy sauce. shopping list
- 1 ts sambal ( optionnal). shopping list
- a pinch of salt. shopping list
How to make it
- Wash the rice under streaming water and put 20 min in cold water, wash again and drain.
- Put 2 c water in a pan add rice and bring to a boil, as soon as water boils, close heat and let rice cook till water is absorbed, (ca 10 min).
- Take a deep frying pan or better a wok if available, put oil in and heat to high heat add all vegetables and stir fry 3 min, add rice and stir fry 5 min more, add soya sauce stir fry 1 min more, if necesary add a pinch of salt to taste, add sambal and mix well.
- Serve hot.
