  • 8 Tablespoons (1 Stick) butter
  • 1 Cup sugar
  • 3/4 Cup self-rising flour
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • One 28 oz. Can sliced peaches in syrup, undrained
  • Good with fresh whipped cream or vanilla ice cream

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Put butter in deep baking dish and place in oven to melt.
  3. Mix sugar and flour; add milk slowly to prevent lumping.
  4. Pour over melted butter.
  5. Do not stir. Spoon fruit on top, gently pouring in syrup.
  6. Still do not stir; batter will rise to top during baking.
  7. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes.
