Simple Japanese Curry

- 2 Tbsp butter shopping list
- 1 onion, thinly sliced shopping list
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger shopping list
- 1 tsp grated garlic shopping list
- 2 Tbsp flour shopping list
- 1 Tbsp curry powder shopping list
- 2 and 1/2 cup bouillon shopping list
- 1/2 tsp garam masala shopping list
- beef /chicken/ veggies ( optional ) shopping list
How to make it
- Heat 1 Tbsp of butter in a skillet and saute onion slices on low heat until they are brown.
- Add garlic and ginger and saute well.
- Set aside.
- Heat 1 Tbsp of butter in a medium pot.
- Put flour and saute on low heat.
- Add curry powder and mix well.
- Add bouillon little by little, stirring well.
- Add onion in the sauce.
- Simmer the sauce until thickened. ( I like to throw in my chicken/beef/veggies at this point to let the flavor soak in )
- Add garam masala at last.
- Then I simmer it a little longer .. while i make some white rice.... or yummy "yellow curry rice" and MMM MMM

OK I buy my garam-masala thru Penzeys Spices. Great spices! Tried this recipe last wk. WOW! I simply LOVED this dish. I made the vegetarian version using broccoli, onion, sweet potato, carrots and zucchini. Totally recommended. Totally a 5.
