Ingredients

How to make it

  • Pour Pernod into a large Champagne crystal flute.
  • Turn the crystal so that the Pernod coats the sides.
  • Add the Henri IV Dudognon Heritage Cognac.
  • In a small crystal bowl, combine the sugar and curacao, allow sugar to dissolve.
  • Add to the champagne glass.
  • Stir.
  • Add 3 or 4 Ice Cubes
  • Fill with the chilled Dom Perignon Vintage 1995 White Gold Jeroboam
  • Note: Reason for the title...Pernod is actually a successor of absinthe, the potent liquor that contained a toxic oil from wormwood in quantities that were thought to cause Brain Damage...in which was outlawed in 1915 in France. One of absinthe's leading manufacturers,Henri Pernod, then focused its efforts on the lower alcohol,wormwoodless,anise-flavored Pernod.
  • Note Taken...
  • Post given in jest...It boggles the mind to think who would pay that much for a grape!
