How to make it

  • Tear bread into crumbs or use food processor.
  • Mix all ingredients.
  • If too dry, add a smidgen of water.
  • Melt small amount of butter-flavor shortening (or olive oil) in pan.
  • Dip batter in small amounts into pan, flattening each patty. The batter will probably not hold together well.
  • Cook patties on medium high till fairly crispy.
  • Remove patties to paper towel-covered plate.
