Ingredients

How to make it

  • Melt butter in 13" x 9" glass baking dish while preheating oven to 375 degrees.
  • Take care not to burn butter.
  • Remove from oven and let cool while mixing batter together.
  • Mix flour, sugar and milk together and pour this mixture into the center of the dish containing the butter.
  • Distribute fruit or pie filling evenly over the batter.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
  • The crust will rise up around the fruit while baking.
  • NOTE: If using apple or peach pie filling, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon may be added. To use fresh blueberries in this recipes, bring 2 cups fresh blueberries with 1/4 cup sugar in pan on stovetop to a boil, then pour over batter in baking dish.

i remember my mom making this all the time and it couldn't be any easier... remember 1 C of each ingredient... stick of butter... canned fruit (she always had something) and voila! A nice hot steamy cobbler. So, thanks for the recipe again since I couldn't remember if it was one cup or two! I'll be making this tonight for a get together.
