Blueberry Muffins From Scratch

- 2 cups fresh blueberries shopping list
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour shopping list
- 2 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 4 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg shopping list
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4 cup margarine shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
- 1/4 c brown sugar shopping list
- 1 cup buttermilk shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and line muffin tins.
- Mix 1/4 cup flour over blueberries, and stir to coat berries thoroughly.
- In a small bowl, sift together 2 cups flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon.
- In a large bowl, cream margarine with sugar. Beat in eggs, and stir in
- vanilla.
- Stir in buttermilk alternately with flour mixture, mixing well after each addition.
- Fold in berries. Fill muffin cups 2/3 full with batter.
- Top with brown sugar.
- Bake for 25-28 minutes.
