How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and line muffin tins.
  • Mix 1/4 cup flour over blueberries, and stir to coat berries thoroughly.
  • In a small bowl, sift together 2 cups flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon.
  • In a large bowl, cream margarine with sugar. Beat in eggs, and stir in
  • vanilla.
  • Stir in buttermilk alternately with flour mixture, mixing well after each addition.
  • Fold in berries. Fill muffin cups 2/3 full with batter.
  • Top with brown sugar.
  • Bake for 25-28 minutes.
