- 2 sticks salt-free butter shopping list
- 2 cups sugar shopping list
- 6 eggs shopping list
- 1 Tbsp honey shopping list
- 3 1/2 cups all-purposre whole grain flour shopping list
- 2 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 1 tsp ntmeg shopping list
- 1/2 tsp each: shopping list
- ground cloves shopping list
- ground allspice shopping list
- 4 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 2 cups chopped figs shopping list
- 2 cups raisins shopping list
- 1 cup chopped almonds, blanched or unblanched shopping list
- 1 cup water shopping list
How to make it
- In lg mixing bowl beat butter until creamy smooth
- Gradually add sugar amd continue to beat until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time.
- Fold in and beat in the honey.
- Set aside.
- In another bowl combine 3 1/4 cups flour with spices and baking powder, then sift together.
- oss almonds figs and raisins in the remaining 1/4 cup flour.
- Add flour mix to butter mix half at a time alternating with the water.
- Stir in nuts and fruits.
- Gently mix smooth.
- Divide batter into two prepared 9x5x3 pans.
- Bake in center of oven, preheated to 325F for 75 minutes.
- Remove and let cool for 10 minutes.
- Heavenly!
