- 2 Large chicken breast,roasted and shredded shopping list
- 2 Cups of chicken broth(I roast a whole chicken and use the rich broth from it) shopping list
- 1 white onion,finely chopped shopping list
- 1 tomato,peeled,seeded,chopped,coarsely shopping list
- 1/2 sweet bell pepper,chopped shopping list
- 1 corn tortilla,julienned in to strips(1"x1/4") shopping list
- 1 lime,cut into thin slices(1/8") shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon red wine vinegar shopping list
- ~Seasonigs~ shopping list
- Dash or two of garlic powder shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon ground coriander Seeds shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin Seeds shopping list
- black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Pour the chicken stock into a soup pot.
- Add the chopped onion,tomato,green pepper,vinegar and the dry seasonings.
- Simmer until vegetables are tender.
- Add the chicken and simmer to combine the flavors.
- Add the tortilla strips.
- Place a slice of lime in each bowl and ladle the soup in. Allow the lime to flavor the soup...Serve...
- Xochicalpan,means the place of the house of flowers,and this soup has a wonderful fragrance.
