This pepper jelly is from the Junior League of Charleston's cookbook Charleston Receipts. It is the longest published Junior League Cookbook in America. This jelly is wonderful over cream cheese and crackers. It also goes well with meats

Ingredients
  • 1 quart green bell peppers, seeded
  • 1 cup jalepeno peppers
  • 1 1/2 quarts vinegar
  • 14 cups sugar
  • Red, green or yellow food coloring
  • 2 1/2 cups certo

Directions
  1. Grind the peppers in a blender with small amount of vinegar
  2. Add the rest of the vinegar, sugar, and food coloring
  3. Boil 5-10 minutes
  4. Add 2 1/2 cups certo
  5. Boil 1 minute
  6. Put in jars and seal
  7. Serve with crackers and cream cheese or meats

Great recipe - makes a lot of jelly! I love this with cream cheese and smoked salmon on a Ritz Cracker!
