How to make it

  • Directions:
  • Combine apple wedges and juice in a large saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Cover, reducwe heat and simmer 12 minutes or until wedges are tender, stirring occasionally
  • Drain,discarding liquid
  • Place in food processor and process 1 minute or until smooth. I use the knife blade.
  • Return to sauce pan
  • Add brown sugar and remaining ingredients stirring well.
  • Cook uncovered over medium heat 20 minutes or until mixture is very thick, stirring often.
  • Spoon into hot sterilized jars filling to 1/4 inch from top.
  • Wipe jar rim
  • Cover with metal lids and band at once.
  • Stores in fridge up to 3 weeks.
