Easy Broiled Tomatoes

really a superb recipe if using garden picked ripe tomatoes from the garden. Hot house tomatoes won't do it! great side for beef, chicken, fish etc.
Ingredients
- 6 ripe medium tomatoes shopping list
- melted butter shopping list
- sugar shopping list
- basil shopping list
- grated parmesan cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Cut 1/2 inch slice from top of each tomato
- Make a crisscrosss cut throught top of tomatoes
- Pour melted butter over tops of tomatoes
- Sprinkle with sugar and basil
- Bake 350 15 to 20 minutes
- Sprinkle cheese over tops
- Return to oven and now broil until the cheese melts
