Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cups flour/1/4 tsp. baking soda shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/2 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter, softened shopping list
- 1 cup chopped pecans shopping list
- 1/2 cup half-and-half shopping list
- 1/3 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 1-3/4 cups sifted powdered sugar shopping list
- 1 cup chopped pecans shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Heat oven to 350. In small bowl stir together flour, baking soda,
- and salt. Set aside. In large mixer bowl beat 1-1/2 cups brown sugar
- and butter on medium speed of electric mixer until combined. Add egg.
- Beat until fluffy. Add flour mixture to butter mixture. Beat until
- combined. Stir in first cup pecans.
- 2. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake 10
- to 12 minutes or until bottoms are lightly browned. Transfer to wire
- racks. Cool completely.
- 3. For glaze, in a small saucepan combine half-and-half and 1/3 cup
- brown sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Broil for 2
- minutes more, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Beat in
- powdered sugar.
- 4. Place 1 teaspoon chopped pecans on each cookie. Drizzle glaze over
- pecans. Let stand at room temperature until set. Makes 36 cookies.
