How to make it

  • Cut 4 14 x 12 pieces of waxed paper. Cream butter, sugar, and brown
  • sugar. Beat in vanilla and eggs, until light and fluffy. Combine flour, oats,
  • salt, baking powder and baking soda. Stir into egg mixture. Add chips and
  • nuts. Divide into 4 balls. Shape into an 8-10 inch roll. Wrap in waxed
  • paper or plastic wrap. Place in a freezer container with a light fitting
  • lid. Label and date. Use within 6 months. TO MAKE COOKIES: Preheat oven
  • to 375. Cut into ¼ inch slices. Arrange on a baking sheet about 1 inches
  • apart. Bake 10-12 minutes until edges are light brown and centers are
  • slightly set. Cool about 2 minutes on baking sheet. Cool on rack.
