Green Tomato Bread Or Anything Green Bread

- Dry: shopping list
- 3 cups flour shopping list
- 2 cup sugar ( may be part white and part brown sugar ) shopping list
- 2 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- Wet: shopping list
- 2 large eggs shopping list
- 1 cup oil shopping list
- 2 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 2 cups chopped green tomato ( with the liquid ), use the food processor shopping list
- OR 2 cups chopped apples, shopping list
- OR shopping list
- 2 cups shredded zucchini shopping list
- OR shopping list
- 2 cups finely chopped green lettuce ( non bitter kind ) shopping list
- 1 cup chopped nuts shopping list
- OR shopping list
- 1 cup golden raisins shopping list
- OR shopping list
- 1/2 cup nuts and 1/2 cup raisins shopping list
- OR shopping list
- 1 cup chopped other dried fruits such as dried apricots, cranberries etc shopping list
How to make it
- Combine all the dry ingrdients in a bowl
- Combine all the wet ingredients together
- Blend both mixtures well by hand with wooden spoon
- Blend in the tomatoes, nuts and raisins
- Grease and flour well, 2 loaf pans ( 8 x 4 )
- Divide mixture in the pans
- Bake in a 350F oven about one hour or tested done in the center.
- Cool on rack at least 15 minutes before removing
- Cool completely
- Wrap in foil overnight to blend flavors before slicing
- May be frozen
