Ingredients

How to make it

  • Combine all the dry ingrdients in a bowl
  • Combine all the wet ingredients together
  • Blend both mixtures well by hand with wooden spoon
  • Blend in the tomatoes, nuts and raisins
  • Grease and flour well, 2 loaf pans ( 8 x 4 )
  • Divide mixture in the pans
  • Bake in a 350F oven about one hour or tested done in the center.
  • Cool on rack at least 15 minutes before removing
  • Cool completely
  • Wrap in foil overnight to blend flavors before slicing
  • May be frozen

    What a versatile recipe! I love posts like this that can be worked so many different ways with so many different flavors possible - think I will try this first with the avocados, then try the apples. Great post!

    Very different!

    I would like to try this with the Green Tomatoes.

    Will earmark it for when the next-door neighbor is gracious enough to give me a basket of green tomatoes ever year.
