Hamburger Steak And Tennessse Gravy Recipe
A country fried steak done Tennessee style gravy

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 onion
  • 3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp. cooking oil
  • 1 c. mushrooms
  • Mix onion, Worcestershire sauce, oil, mushrooms together. Make patties out of the hamburger. Put in frying pan. Cover with the mixture.
  • now for gravy
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 13 ounces evaporated milk
  • Heat fat moderately; stir in flour. Mixture should be thin - not cakey or oily.
  • until medium brown, stirring constantly. Add pepper and salt. Working very quickly, add warm water; stir thoroughly; let bubble. Add evaporated milk. Lower heat and cook to desired thickness, stirring almost constantly. If necessary to thin at this point, add warm water.

Directions
  1. Fry burgers in pan at low heat until done
  2. (cut slit in burgers to make sure they are done)
  3. add gravy on top
  4. make salad or fries sides chips and a nice cold drinks of your choice

Confusing. Under "ingredients" the burgers are baked, but under "directions" they're placed in a skillet and fried.


Sorry about that Warsawnan's, was reading and typing my recipes list and must have look at another recipe and put it there by mistake, just fry in pan til; done then pour gravy over the burgers and eat


This one is a good one.
