Lemon loaf

My grandmother gave me this lemon loaf recipe not long ago. I make it all the time. Its one of my all time favourite desserts!
Ingredients
- Loaf: shopping list
- 1/2 cup shortening shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1-½ cups flour shopping list
- 1 tsp baking powder shopping list
- ½ tsp salt shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- Grated lemon rind shopping list
- ½ cup milk shopping list
- Glaze: shopping list
- juice from the lemon shopping list
- ¼ cup sugar shopping list
How to make it
- In the order given, combine all ingredients in a large bowl; beat well.
- Bake in 350 F oven for 1 hour.
- Leave in pan for 10 minutes, then pour glaze over the top of the loaf.
