How to make it

  • Hot the furnace to 200°C/392 °F.
  • Grease and flour a removable-bottomed pan (24 cm diameter).
  • Break the eggs in a pot and add the 100 grams sugar.
  • Batter it on the cook-top until it has a temperature of about 30°C.
  • Remove from the cook-top and batter until nearly cold.
  • Add the flour, the cacao and the maize flour. Gently stir it under the batter. Add melted butter and make sure the dough doesn't collapse.
  • Put it in the removable-bottomed pan and bake in the furnace for 15 minutes at 200°C and 15 minutes at 180°C / 356 °F.
  • Let the cake cool down.
  • Melt the chocolate with the dl milk and 50 grams of sugar.
  • Whip the cream and add the melted chocolate when the cream is half whipped.
  • Whip the cream until peaks form.
  • Slice the cake horizontally in 2.
  • Add cream on the bottom half of the cake.
  • Add the second half of the cake on the first half.
  • Smear cream all over the cake, make it as flat as possible.
  • Put in the fridge overnight.
  • Garnish before serving with strawberry's, pineapple, etc..
