I do, do you?

Seems like I live on left-overs, do you too?

Is it that you cook too much
    OR
that you like it so much you intentionally cook too much?

I tend to cook too much because most things are tough to cook for just two. But I end up eating the leftovers for lunch. Hubby's not a big fan of leftovers (a mind set I believe) so I just re-vamp 'em into something he has no clue is what we had two nights ago - LOL

I agree with Donn but both of us will eat leftovers. We are having leftovers of 2 of Donna's recipes tonight!

Yeah, it's just me and Tom here. Sometimes I just go and cook the recipe which feeds say 4, so I can just heat it up the following night, on the 'Cook once, eat twice' principle (saves on fuel). The trouble is that sometimes we just gobble up more than 2 folks' worth on the night, so that I have to think of a way to add to it to feed us both the next night and that's where the creativity comes in.

Case in point: Pat, all that leftover shredded pork from last nights tacos is going into a chili tomorrow night - just add some beans, tomato sauce and other things and voila - He be happy as a bug in a rug!

Too funny. Mr SuchAFuss won't eat leftovers either. So I quit calling them leftovers. In my politcally correct kitchen they become condiments looking for a rebirth in a fresh dish.

I see JustJakesMom gets that too.

Added my "re-vamped" chili to here tonight. He loved it! Is literally snoring in the living room as I type. Poor guy - works so hard, up at 4:30 am and my food just puts him out! LOL The drink didn't hurt either. LOL

I hear ya SB Nellie, we do the same thing -- eat more than we should, then have to add something to the leftovers. We try not to do that but... We have had some strange meals with a little leftover this and a little leftover that.

Last night we both had a big salad. With it he had 2 small ribs, 1 slice of pizza and a taco. I had a taco and 2 pieces of chicken. Oh well, it all tasted good anyway.

When I tend to cook that it alwways seems like we tend to have left overs. Now it's been at least two weeks that my boyfriends mother lives two houses down from us that he takes what ever we have to his mom.It tends to last her a couple three days or so.My boyfriend takes food to his mom every two to three days.We don't know if his sister and brothers takes food to their mom or not.Knowing that my boyfriend does his part.

It is hard to make things for one and or two people.I remember when I was liven on my own that it was hard to make things for one person. The thing is that I'm happy that the food that I make doesn't go to waste around here.
