Let's get back to something nice...

I made a delicious turkey dinner over the weekend with my boyfriend's 11 year old daughter. It was really nice. Unfortunately, I acquired a nasty burn on the inside of my right index finger...it is still blistery. I hate it when I burn myself! I think it's just a foodie's lot in life- I'll never be a hand model LOL

Burns are Very painful! I have quite a few scars from pulling food out of the oven and sizzling my wrist on the upper shelf.
I have no clue what I'll cook this weekend. I'm considering Beef Stew or maybe a Roasted Chicken. Hope your finger recovers quickly

Have to fix something good this weekend as Danny doesn't have to work. Last night fixed Beer Brauts, tonight planning on ribs and will probably do shrimp this weekend. I hate burns!!!!! My hands are all scarred up from touching the top of the oven.

Today I am cooking a pork loin in the crock pot- I used a neat sauce from Stonewall Kitchen (a brand of sauces n' stuff out of York, Maine- online @ stonewallkitchen.com ) It's Vidalia onion fig sauce- so good with pork, better with tenderloin! Excellent sauce, if you have it near you. Probably found at kitchen/gourmet food stores.

Hey, Linda we are doing shrimp too. I was going to make a mayo dill/garlic sauce, but I saw your secret sauce and I might give it a whirl.

What about, shrimp, celery minced, touch of onion, lemon, mayonnaise tossed and wrapped in a spinach tortilla with some sprouts and slices of avocado, crumbled bacon?

No, not posted dear...I was thinking out loud on that combination for Line. Sounds good to me. If I didn't have 20 lbs. of prepped chicken for the bbq pizza, I'd think about changing tonight's menu to shrimp rollups. Maybe next week. I'm bound and determined to make the jelly roll meatloaf tomorrow!!!!

Kid loves wraps too. Do you use the flavored tortillas? I like the sundried tomato and basil ones and the aforesaid spinach ones are favorites.

Love the greek sauce...however do you spell that? One of my favorites. Has anyone made Alton Brown's gyro loaf? It is very very good and worth the effort.
