    Fun Quiz for Cooks!

    What were you cooking/baking ten years ago?
    cioppino, pastas, food for kids (my ex-bf had FOUR!) like meatball soup, sloppy joes… yikes…

    What were you cooking/baking one year ago?

    LOTS of grilled meats! Pretty much all the stuff I currently make, maybe just not as simplified as now

    Five snacks you enjoy:

    1. Cheeeeeeeeeeese
    2. Kettle Corn
    3. Häagen-Dazs Chocolate peanut butter ice cream
    4. Key Lime Yoplait whipped yogurt
    5. Pringles Sour Cream and Green Onion Chips

    Five recipes you know by heart:

    1. Puff Pastry
    2. Shrimp Scampi
    3. Homemade pizza dough
    4. Béchamel sauce (all pasta sauces pretty much)
    5. Any kind of salad dressing

    Five culinary luxuries you would indulge in if you were a millionaire:

    1. A culinary training (and tasting!) tour of Spain, Portugal, Italy and France
    2. my own vineyard
    3. Huge beautiful wine cellar
    4. a professional caterer’s kitchen built in my home
    5. goats on my small farm so they could win awards for the goat cheese they produce and chickens so I’d have fresh eggs everyday (eggs are so friggin’ expensive now!)

    What were you cooking/baking ten years ago? I was big with stuffed mushrooms and hummus for every party and some catering. Steaks a lot of seafood on the grill.


    What were you cooking/baking one year ago? Cajun, blackened this and blackened that was a regular hit everyone would ask for it, lots of Mexican chili and Nachos were regulars with lots of cheese. I made mostly Italian cannoli, Italian cookies and bread always bread. Started experimented with Indian, Russian and eastern European.



    Five snacks you enjoy:

    1. Cheeeeeeeeeeese
    2. Pop Corn with a pinch of nutritional yeast a little butter and a little olive oil.
    3. Green and Black Organic Vanilla Ice cream
    4. Chocolate Mousse
    5. Lindt Chocolate Truffles “Dark Chocolate”

    Five recipes you know by heart:

    1. Puff Pastry
    2.Chili
    3. Homemade pizza dough
    4. Pasta Putanesca
    5. “Gravy “tomato sauce to everyone else

    Five culinary luxuries you would indulge in if you were a millionaire:

    1. An annual or Semi annual culinary training (and tasting!) tour of Spain, Portugal, Italy and France
    2. My own olive tree, fig tree and walnut tree farm.
    4. A professional caterer’s kitchen built in my home with a professional wood fired bread oven .
    5 An archer of land just for my organic garden with a greenhouse.

    3. EXTREMELY LARGE, FULLY STOCKED, STATE OF THE ART OUTDOOR KITCHEN.
    4. EVERY INGREDIENT I WOULD EVER NEED TO MAKE ANY RECIPE I WANT.
    5. HIRE A NEW PRO CHEF EVERY WEEK TO SHOW ME ALL THEIR COOKING.

    Grilling meats and fresh veggies, expanding my horizons with flavors and homemade marinades, creating my own recipes more and more

    1. Garlic Roasted Triscuits with sharp white cheddar cheese
    2. Gala Apples
    3. White cheddar pop corn
    4. Chips and Salsa
    5. Thick cut chips with french onion dip

    Five recipes you know by heart:

    1. Blue Cheese Dressing
    2. My Famous Spghetti
    3. Beef N Bean Burritos
    4. Garlic N Lime Chicken Fajitas
    5. My Chicken Parmesan


    Five culinary luxuries you would indulge in if you were a millionaire:

    1. Huge State of the art kitchen with all the counter space I could ever want and a dishwasher
    2. Fabulous grill, bar, etc. on the deck
    3. Two additions to the house, one for Tyler and one for Guy, so we could cook together and I could learn from them and eat their food! Oh, and for Ina Garten and Emeril to stop by and join us!
    4. All the little gadgets my heart desires, that I pick up and put down in the stores now and say "I don't need that..."
    5. Someone to do all the clean up!

    Creamed spinach, pureed foods that my son could eat. Anything and everything to tempt him into enjoying a full meal. Working out recipes for people with swallowing difficulties and delays. Cheesecakes for a downtown restaurant.

    Lots of friendship cakes for the bake sales, salads and dressings, soups and stews, fish and shellfish.

    1. quick quesadilla with cheddar and jalapeno pickled peppers
    2. mini tomato sandwiches on those square pumpernickel breads
    3. sliced apples with caramel dipping sauce
    4. peanut butter on a ritz
    5. olives and cheese cubes

    Five recipes you know by heart:
    1. Crab gougere
    2. Spinach Cheese Souffle
    3. German American Meatballs (Grossmom's recipe)
    4. Cheesecake (basic with variations)
    5. Glazed meatloaf

    Five culinary luxuries you would indulge in if you were a millionaire:
    1. Unlimited amounts of fresh seafood - especially crab, dungeness, stone, king!
    2. Room for a garden and help to garden, fresh herbs, mesclun salad mix, heirloom tomatoes, citrus trees, meyer lemon, key lime, persian lime, tangelo, kumquat, calamondin, ruby red grapefruit, figs, mangos, papaya, olives, pecans.
    3. Definite cleaning help.
    4. Farmhouse sink, pot-filler over the stove, indoor grill, double wall ovens, refrigerator drawers like Paula's. Fireplace and eat in kitchen with lots of room for books and a desk nook.
    5. Tasting trip to Spain, Portugal and the south of France.
