Folder for Made Recipes

for those of you who have mentioned, or would like, having a separate folder for recipes you've rated and/or reviewed, I've found a way to do that until and if it becomes available.

This is invaluable, to me, because I really want to keep track of the recipes I've made for friends/site mates. I don't even keep my own recipes in my bookmarks. It's only for ones I've made, or am honestly planning to make. :)

Anyway, here's what you do. Click on the recipe to get to it's page. Click "Save" just to the right of the photo, or where a photo would be :) It will allow you to add your OWN tags to the recipe. This saves as your information, only, not to the recipe itself. I use "made by me" all one phrase, no comma, for my own "tag". Then, save it. (it's okay if you've already had it bookmarked, it will add the tag). Then, when you want to see what recipes you've made, go to your bookmarks, click "tag" up by the search bar and type in your designated phrase is made by me ....and enter or click "search"....

a list of your made recipes should come up :)

Very quick and easy, so I hope this helps!

Already figured that out after a discussion with Kris. But being the lazy guy I only tag it with "made". It helps out tremendously separating out the "to do" list from the "done" list.

Hell, I read everything, how did I miss this? And I've had others asking me about it, too, which is why I posted it.

Bummer...sorry to take up space, hopefully Kris will just delete it since it's redundant. :)

The reason I didn't use 'made' alone is cus when I searched "made" in the site's search bar, I got 14 pages... so I didn't wanna confuse myself in case I saved any of those. ;)

    Thanks, P7O...and sorry 'bout that.

Really..............14 pages with the word made only. Time for some research.

None of my bookmarked recipes have the word "made" in the title. I see the 14 pages you refer to in the general recipes. That word is in the title and not a tag. I doubt whether doing a tag search for the word would show up anything. But anything's possible.

I don't see a way to do a search by tag in the general recipes anymore, although it is searchable in my own bookmarked recipes.

Right, but with so many "mades", I just figured I'd make sure that I didn't get 'em messed up... for me, typing I made this once, then copying and pasting it wasn't a big deal... it doesn't matter what tag you use, just unique to yourself is all... I don't remember trying to search recipes for "tags".... cus, to be honest, I almost never search the site, in general, I searched on our two "recipe listing" pages, as well as my own "box".... so, now, I'll search within groups and my own bookmarks.

As soon as I get mine done, we'll get our own folder... what do ya bet? ;)

Everyone is spot on. This is what tagging bookmarks is all about. Use any tags you like, then as mentioned, use the tag search (or common tags list) on your bookmarks page to retrieve.
