Friends unable to 'Join' GroupRecipes

Hi, I have a few friends who have tried to register on this site, but they keep getting an error saying that their email address is already in your database. They are sure its not and have tried multiple personal addresses to confirm the issue. Any suggestions?

Please have your friends email info@grouprecipes.com and put in the SUBJECT line "LOG IN HELP NEEDED SENT FROM HELP GROUP"

Also have your friends check their spam folders for the email Group Recipes would've sent containing password / login information. You need to have the Group Recipes email addy in your directory in order to keep your email program from dropping the email with the password / login information into the spam folder.

I'm, having a similar problem trying to join the Refugees group. I joined the site a year ago? but just recently joined the I Made It group. There's so much talk on there about the Refugees group that I have sent numerous requests to join and haven't gotten anything. Every time I click on the join this group button, I either get request sent or membership pending.

Refugess is a private group so your membership has to be approved by the moderator. You might try sending her a PM. Keni is kinda hit and miss to the site, too, so that may have something to do with it. Good luck!

I was going to say the same thing as Frankieanne:) I'm pleased you joined the I Made It Group! When you try someone else's recipe, be sure to post your review! We enjoy seeing what other people on this site make and what they thought of the recipe:)

Htreski, you may have her try re-registering at a different computer other than the one she is using. This site may have marked her computer, for whatever reason. I think she may even have to make a new email address just for this site.

Due to "stuff" in Keni's life, she can't always make it here on a regular basis. You may have to be patient with her. She will be back at some point.

Keni is the creator of the Refugees group so I am assuming she is still the moderator. So, yes, she would be the right one.

Again, my issue is that they can't register for the Grouprecipes.com AT ALL. Its not about joining a particular 'group' once you're in. I think we've given up on this website since we still have no response to resolve this issue. Thanks all, good luck!

Thanks, Frankie, but it will take more than luck! The group was started by Keni as a place for members from another site to go and feel welcome, as the other site, of which Keni and I were both members, had become so clique-ish. By the new moderator allowing some to join the Refugees, and not others, denegrates the spirit in which the group was formed.

Marie, joining the Refugees is as simple as it is joining any other group. You click on 'join this group' and you become a member. For some reason, the new moderator is picking and choosing who is allowed in, which is totally contrary to how Keni set it up. She said way back when that when she set it up she made it private, then was unable to make it public as it became more popular. As I stated earlier, new members have been added since Keni's death, so it IS possible to join, the new moderator is just picking and choosing who those members will be.

This is going on with one of my friends on here. She cannot log in. She cannot get help with her password as it says it has emailed her a prompt, but she didn't get one. Then she created a whole new email address to create a whole new profile. The system said her brand new email address was already in use. Has anyone ever found a work-around for this issue?

Unfortunately, I believe the only person who can help with this is Kristopher. Perhaps you could post something in the Help Group. He doesn't seem to respond much lately though. But, you could give it a try. He is the site administrator and the only one who can help.
