not a complaint just a question.

Just wondering what makes the group ranking? I noticed the first page of groups on the most popular page, which made sense because there is a lot of members and people post pretty regularly. but page 2 there are groups that no one really posts in. And my group which people post in every day is on page 3. I am by no means complaing I just like to know how things work...

    G'morning, Laurie :)

I can't answer this one, but my bet is it's a but....or a glitch(never sure of the difference ;).. I'm sure IMI and yours gotta be right up there with those on the front page. They are both more active the The Refugees, sometimes, too.... those 4 or 5 were almost always exchanging places in the top spots pre-overhaul. :)

    Have a great day!

lol it worked with but, I thought you meant like, it was meant to work one way but............
I know IMI people post in every day more than once so it seemed odd to be behind the defunct suggestions and MAS. I do kind of miss the feature that made the group with the last post jump up to the top. Just for the reason that when i open the page I can see if there is something new without having to go into every group I am involved in.
oh and Keni even though you didn't know the answer to this one I think you have been outstanding in answereing peoples questions.......thanks

If this helps....when you go to groups....click on discussions and under that you'll have the option to click on Today, this week, in my groups, from people I follow and I've participated in.........It brings up the threads and groups you're interested in.

I miss that feature too. When we go to our home page, we can click on the "4 discussions in your groups" (or however many) and it does bring you to a list of those discussions. My problem is I never know which group I'm in. LOL (yeah, you can look to the top, but again, I have a hard hard time reading this font especially when it's so light). We used to always name the threads in ODD with names you would automatically recognize (like saturday sustenance, tuesday treats) etc, but now they are hardly ever named like that. lol I have posted some stuff in threads when I thought I was in a different group altogether! lol LIke helping Keni with the hyperlinks that start a new thread...I thought I was in HELP and it was IMI, and I didn't EVEN make the recipe I used to test that with. lol : )

This is because the ordering is based on a periodical calculation that hasn't been updated since the new site we pushed live. Will be updated soon.

If you want to see what's new in your groups, it is really easy. Just click the discussions tab.

It might be too light to see, but it should say "new replies since your last visit" if there are new replies.
