    Fresh Ginger Tea

My review: "Love this simple and wholesome "tea". If you love ginger you will love it in hot water to sip and relax especially after a meal. I like to grate it into hot water and because it is grated I find drinking the micro-small pieces pleasant. Sometimes I like to add a little honey, a little honey and lemon, but also like it just the way it is written. The simplest of things are the best!"

I like your idea of grating the ginger instead of slicing it. Interesting to read that the recipe submitter finds this helps with inflammation.

Good morning Linda; We enjoy adding fresh ginger to our black tea or even green tea. I have not thought about grating I have always used thin slices. Will have to give it a try. Thank you for the idea.

I love the sound of this! Every evening I drink a couple cups of hot tea to calm me down from the day and I feel like it helps me sleep better too. I bet I would love this, especially when I am out of my sleepytime tea :) :)

I keep my ginger frozen and grate it into a cup of hot water right from the freezer and it grates beautifully. I use a grater with holes slightly larger than a microplane (the kind used to zest citrus). It practically disintegrates into the hot water.

I never would have guessed that ginger "tea" doesn't really contain tea. Very interesting!
