  These are fantastic muffins. When I tasted the batter I thought that the lemon would over power but it did not just right as it enhance the flavour of the muffin and the blueberries which I used. Can not wait to try another berry in this recipe.

  I never have buttermilk on hand but I think you can do a sub with milk and vinegar or lemon juice. Blueberries would be my first choice as well.

  Hi Cuckieb thank you for posting the thread. Buttermilk is normally not in my house either but I have also done a recipe with the butter and vinegar mixed together and it work. LOL when I told DH about the blueberry muffins he said "ymm blueberries"
