Artichoke chicken by Darlenel

This tasted great and was easy and quick to make. The only criticism is that the mayo melted into a layer of grease by the end of baking, which didn't effect the taste of chicken at all. Added a pic, which didn't come out that good, but the taste was great.

I used marinated artichoke hearts, they have more flavor. It says to add herbs to taste, so I added some oregano and thyme. I added 2 small cloves of garlic finely chopped(it said to use garlic, just didn't specify the amount).
I can't believe that ugly picture just showed up as main in this group! LOL. Well, that shouldn't last too long, I hope!

I noticed that the main pictures for this group have been changing a lot lately! I thought it only changes after every 500 pics! Its very strange, but I like it!

I like your choice of side dishes for that!

This turned out pretty good for me last night. I don't know if I will make it very often. Not because of the recipe but because of the family. haha...They are not as big fans of artichokes as I am. I couldn't think what to side it up with so I just grabbed a box of rice pilaf and some leftover corn on the cob.

I didn't have the same problem with the mayo as juels. Mine stayed right on top. I use Hellman's mayo. Could be a brand thing? I did however, end up with water in the bottom of the dish. I think that is because I used chicken breasts that had been frozen and thawed. I didn't take a pic, looked just like the one in Juels.....

...on the main pic changing. I thought you were doing that, lillian, since you are group owner. I noticed it had been changing and was gonna ask how. When I was new I posted a recipe to the Our Daily Dinner thread not realizing that the pic would be the main one in the group. Yep that's my chili recipe pic there, and I wish it would change. LOL

It could be the mayo brand. Mine melted in the last 5 minutes of baking. Maybe I baked it too long! LOL.
I had the same problems with my family. Only my hubby and me like artichokes. Kids all turned their noses on that one, but that happens with the lot of the stuff that I cook. Most of the time I end up fixing 2 dinners per night!

I take that back. That's not my chili recipe, just the pic. My sis was here one Sunday and we were having a chili cook-off. I posted the pic to her recipe for her. :)

No...I can't change the group pics...but I wish I knew why they're changing so often lately!

I'm definitely making that chicken recipe next week! I'll probably serve it with orzo also...I haven't had it in a while!

The pics in the group are attached to the recipes posted, if that makes sense. Every recipe that has a pic, should have that same pic automatically in the group pics. (Not the MAIN group pic, ie group avatar, but the Group Pics on the side). You can scroll through and see them all. It may be that some groups the pic stays the same because no one ever scrolls through them, and, they change in other groups as people do scroll through them...lol...is that all clear as mud???

I'm gonna have to make this chicken...sounds really good!!!

well...there's only one pic in this group...that's weird...it's usually all the pics of the recipes...(well, it used to seem that way, anyway!).
