Beef Stew Crockpot Diabetic

Recipe by Shirleyoma: Beef Stew Crockpot Diabetic/saved
Stew was done at 7 hours but I let it go for one more hour for timing of the rest of the meal in preparation.
Good flavor. Plenty of veggies. Wish the liquid was a little thicker so It would cling to the beef, as it would do in a good stew.
The whitish spots you see over the stew in my pic in the crock is steam rising.

I don't know what makes this recipe diabetic. One poster said no potatoes but my dad has diabetes and he eats potatoes and potato chips! He had both on our "Christmas" lunch last Thursday. Still - it looks good and healthy.

I don't know why the poster said it is diabetic either? A-1 Steak Sauce has corn syrup, molasses and sugar in it and packaged French Onion Soup has sugar in it as well. Diabetics are allowed to eat potatoes for sure, Frankie. It should have been called Low Carb Stew.

I just checked and Worcestershire Sauce also has sugars in it as well.

Good questions that I can't answer.
Although I did use home made A-1 & soup mix that has none of the sugars you mentioned.

My best guess would be that it is because they didn't use flour to dredge the meat, or thicken the stew with.
