Berry Berry Cool Pie
I was just getting ready on Thursday night to make this for the Friday morning meeting gang when a grass fire broke out in my neck of the woods and I was put on voluntary evacuation notice! Yipes! Too scary for words. By the time the fire had been knocked down enough and the notice was lifted, I was too pooped to care about pie and it was too late to make it anyway. Luckily, my berries made it through the weekend and I was able to make this on Sunday for my co-workers to try on Monday. They absolutely raved about it and it disappeared. One of them even mentioned that piece of pie to me today. I'll have to make this for them again.

Scary about the fires. Glad you didn't have to evacuate. We had one come about 2 miles from our house several years ago, but fortunately it didn't jump the highway and the backfires worked. But I was ready to grab critters and horses and leave if need be. Pie looks really good.

I've had fire near me - a couple of miles away - a few times but never on any kind of evacuation notice and it was very scary. I feel for the people in the next county - 43 homes lost and who knows how much wild life. Very sad.
The pie was very good and was so easy it was stupid. :) I definitely will make it again.
