    Blackberry Quick Bread
Another recipe I have had saved since it was posted!
First time I've ever put a three star recipe here, I am sad to say. The bread was good but the topping fell off with each slice. Mine took one hour to cook. It tasted good (this would be great with a cup of tea) but I wouldn't make it again. Half of the topping ended up in the sink.

That's too bad and the toppings the best part! Pretty picture though ;)

Yes, it was really too bad because the sweet of the topping went well with the slight tart of the berries. You can see in the pictures of slices that there is no topping. When I read Hammster's critique, I thought maybe he was just being mean because we had some of that going on around here a couple of years ago. But, he wasn't. It tastes good though.

Pour me a cup of tea, too, please. And I'll eat the topping that fell in the sink. ;)

Sorry to hear that Freankie. It looks like it would have been good. How does it taste w/o the topping? Looks like it would be good frozen then sliced thin for nibbling. I do that with banana bread and pound cake.

The sink huh, GK? Hmm. I'll have to remember that

Gkw, you are welcome to come over for a cup of tea anytime and, if you do, I'll definitely feed you something that hasn't fallen in the sink. :)
It tastes good without the topping but even better with it. So, I've just been taking chunks of topping and eating it with the bread. Its falling off even worse today - if that's a possibility!

Thank you very much for the invite, Frankieanne. I'll practice up on my tea drinking etiquette so I'll be a good guest...

And yes, mr p, from the sink. ;) When I eat something crumbly I usually stand in front of my sink so what falls off goes in the sink instead of on the floor. I don't have a Dufas doggie and kitty to clean up the crumbs...

oh and mr p it looks like you've given someone a new name... What's up with that???

I usually use a plate to eat over instead of eating over the floor. But hey. To each their own. Im not judging : )

Who did I give a new name too?

Speaking of plates...sounds like your plate's been overflowing the last few days. But if you don't get to the grocery store soon that plate may become empty and PIGGY may have to eat topping out of the sink too. :O

You renamed Frankieanne. Here's hoping she didn't notice. ;P

Sorry, "Frankieanne", for the close call. Good thing I got the "n" in there......I guess I better be extra careful when I post here and double check all my words.

I have a confession to make. This may come as a BIG surprise to you all. but, believe it or not, I am not a very good typer (typist?) And when it comes to spelling, well, I need a little help there too, now and then. : ) the thing is.....I dont see myself improving much in these areas, so I hope you can bear with me :P Besides, learning all this cooking stuff is using up the rest of what intellectual resources I have : )

Its OK, Mr. P. I've been called much worse things than Freankie. :)
