    Savory Pepperoni Pizza Bread Pudding

recipe was a success...we just don't like the texture of bread pudding. It's no reflection on the recipe, so it got a 5 even though it's not one we'll prolly have, again. Anyone who doesn't have the stupid texture issue with soaked egggs(we can't eat custards, at all, and can eat frittats, but only when there's a LOT of the extra ingredient.

And, it's nuts cus we LOVE eggs. We LOVE bread. We LOVE cream....we just don't like 'em together. hehehe

photo and full review on the page!!

Well, I've never had bread pudding so I don't know about the texture thingy but I do love the sound of all of those ingredients. And your picture is wonderful. Nice review, too.

I hope it was, because, as I said, I wanna be honest, but it wasn't any fault of the recipe.

I mean, *I* have made a savory version of bread pudding, too, because I thought it was a great idea.... and, it was... we just don't like the soggy eggy bread.... others LOVE bread pudding, so, again, the idea is a solid one and this recipe is a fantastic variation! :) :)

It was pretty, too...and, I wanted to make sure people knew that it worked great to prep the night before.

It really would be great for a brunch

I remember when she posted this one! Looks delicious, but I too, have never had a bread pudding. I can see myself liking it...
So I find french toast to have that soggy, but fried texture to it, do you not like that too Keni? Or is it different...

I have the same aversion to bread puddings, frittatas and the eggy soggy things as well Keni! However, I do enjoy a good old fashioned custard? Go figure? Different tastes for different folks! I clearly see your point as all the ingredients in this might tempt me on this one as well. I think your are being very diplomatic in your judgement b/c informing others who like bread puddings etc. Might be very interested in trying this and rightly so! As you say everything is bang on and your pic is very enticing yummy looking almost enough for me to give this a whirl:) You never know I might really like it, I don't know?
However, that is the case for every new recipe for me. Hey, why not give someone else the opportunity to try it rather than be totally negative about it. I have made some pretty awful stuff from some recipes in here IMHO. I haven't yet even thought of posting them in here b/c someone else might like it made that way. Who knows? I still think you handled it with great care and did a an excellent review and pic:)

It's different.... like, with this, the top, where the bread did get some oven time and got a lil crispy and the cheese was FABULOUS!! :) All the yummy onion/pepper/pepperoni bits that got stuck on the top with the cooked egg, crispy bread and melty cheese was delicious and easy to eat. hehehe :)

French toast, for me, is different because it IS fried...but that's also why I don't use thick bread like so me people, do. :)

    Thank you, Good4u! :)

I'm glad because it IS a great recipe...there is nothing wrong with this at all and it's a great idea and such great flavors. Those in the family who don't have the bread pudding aversion even took it the next day for lunch to school or work! :) So, again, it's a great recipe... and I am SO glad I tried it.

I know others will love it and it needs to be made.

I'm telling you, for a brunch, especially, this would be such a great addition!

OK, everyone has this aversion to bread pudding. Makes me think I should give one a try. Maybe. I'm not so sure. But I should.
