I used crawfish in this, I have a ton! This recipe is simple and delicious! I used low fat 1/2&1/2, which I only used a little less than a pint. I only used 1 stick of butter and I have no idea what tubed garlic cheese is, so I used 4 oz of softened cream cheese that I seasoned with garlic powder and S&P. This made A LOT of sauce, way to much but I plan to save the extra to use on something else. But that's okay because it was delicious!! I topped with some fresh chopped parsley at the end.

It sounds like the crawfish walk around in herds down your way. I see them once in a while in my butcher section but there's never very many of them. Plus, the heads are still on them!

Ha ha! We had a crawfish boil last weekend and had a good amount left over so the next day we had a peeling party (good excuse to finish off the keg as well, hehe) and so I got about 3 full gallon bags of crawfish meat in our freezer! So, lots of crawfish recipes to be posted soon!

Close. Alfredo sauce usually has parmesan cheese in it, and this one had that weird cheese tub stuff.... but other than that pretty much the same. Oh and I've made one before that had egg yolk in it too... makes it super smooth and creamy!

I have only had crawfish once. I remember it was real salty, almost like anchovies. Are they supposed to be salty like that?

I din't think I've ever seen a tube of garlic cheese..that just sounds wrong LOL

Mr. P, sorry, I can't answer your question,,I remember seeing them in a creek nearby our house when I was a young girl..we called them crawdad's...they are found in freshwater so I don't think they would be too salty..I didn't eat them, just played with them and tried really hard not to get my finger pinched..good times:)

Think the tube of cheese is an across the pond thing. They have lots of things that come in tubes that we don't. Guessing it would be 4 to 8 ounces.
If I'd have known we could eat those things I would have brought back sacks of them instead of just playing with them.

    Think your right points!
Mr. P these weren't too salty. Now the potatoes and the veggies we threw in with it got pretty spicy and salty but that just from the crab boil seasoning we used. The meat from the crawfish though was perfect! Guess the shell helped a lot ;)
