Creamed Radishes

    Recipe by Iamcharmed: Creamed Radishes/saved
    Not much flavor here. Simmered the radishes for 1hr and mixed them with this thick gravy (read cream sauce).. Would have to think twice before making this again.

    I have a few depression era cookbooks and a lot of WWII era American Home magazines. A lot of recipes from those times were made to stretch food. Unfortunately, I've found some of them aren't that good but if you were really hungry and there wasn't much else, it was eaten. Its a pretty dish though. I love radishes and have had them hot but prefer them cold.

    I love to eat radishes . I have a recipe saved for roasted radishes . I have not tried that yet , but will for sure . The sauce seems too heavy for me in this , and there is no spices , or herbs in it . Sounds pretty bland . Good on you P , for trying this . Don' t think is up my alley .
