    Creamy Tomato Cheese Tortellini

This was sooooooo good! The sauce is really amazing. I used butternut squash and truffle tortellini. Had to skip the green bell pepper, forgot to buy it :)

Thank you for a great meal!

I froze 2 portions. Took one out yesterday and it was still very good.

Truffle tortellini! How decadent! Homemade pasta, homemade Alfredo sauce. Roasted pork belly and pumpkin pie. Someone around here sure knows how to live! :)
That looks like a yummy recipe, little Ana. I've never put cream cheese in a pasta sauce before although I've heard of it. Sounds delicious!

Oh Frankieanne you made me laugh ;) My friends and family are the lucky ones tasting all the good food!
By the way I didn't make the truffle tortellini, it was store bought. Here we can get it fresh for a good price. It costs about 4€ a box.
Now this recipe was really good. Try the cream cheese addition, it makes the sauce really creamy and decadent :)

I picked up some tortellini when I was at Costco last week. This looks like the perfect recipe to try them on. Looks like I already bookmarked it, so thanks for the reminder, Ana

    You're welcome Mrpiggy :)

ML2C, I always buy Giovanni Rana brand. I don't know if it is available in the US... They make the best pastas! ;)

No truffle tortellini for me, either, but mmmm!!! :-)

To make up for that, I did add a few fresh mushrooms to the veggies. Otherwise, I think I followed the recipe.

    Added my pic

Almost started flopping around on the floor at the market when the clerk announced the price on the tortellini. Nine bucks for a pound! I will like this dish a whole lot better when I can second source the tortellini or do hand made. Maybe ravioli would be cheaper.
Used three cheese tortellini. As gormetana did, I used butternut squash. Should have sauteed it longer but it was OK. Added my pic.
Wouldn't have minded adding the other half brick of cream cheese.

I don't know why it cost that much for tortellini for you. I get buitoni in the cheese section of my grocery store for like 5 bucks and it feeds about 4. I'm glad you liked this though!!! Yay 5 stars from PSO! Thanks!

I finally got around to making this. I didnt have any squash or a veggie that I wanted to use so I did without. Used a red bell pepper. I have never tried marjoram before and when I opened the spice it smelled pretty strong. I shied away from the tablespoon the recipe called for and used a rounded teaspoon. I dont know if that changed much. I also only used 1 can of roasted tomatoes and a can of Rotel. Gave the dish a teeny bit of heat. Other than that I followed the recipe times 1.5 since I used 1.5 lbs of cheese torts. Chopped up some basil to top off. This is a great recipe. Surprisingly filling. Guess its all the cheese. Had a fat little buddy over who loved them as well Added a pic. Thanks for anpther great recipe, ML2C

Marjoram may smell strong, but I don't think the taste is too strong. It's basically a milder version of oregano. Was your cheese tortellini as costy as Points? I found a 2 lb. fresh bag at Sams yesterday for 4.99!!! Best deal yet!!! Thank you so much for trying this Mr P and adding another great picture!
