    Favorite Hamburger

    It is very juicy and tasty. A little on the soft side as far as structure goes making it difficult to flip. I would like to see maybe a couple of eggs or a mixture of bulk sausage to make the burgers hold together better.

    I looked at James Beards' burger recipe, that Recipediva also posted, for a comparison. I think he is on the right track on the cream level.

    I didn't have any heavy cream, so used sour cream instead.

    I like the idea of sprinkling kosher salt on the burger after it is on the bun.

    Used whole wheat buns, mustard, ketchup, creamy style horseradish and mozzarella cheese.

    Ate two half pounders myself and have two left over. Maybe I should take a picture.

I like your idea of bulk sausage too. Might have to start experimenting a few burgers. Why don't you try the build a better burger contest and go for the gold, Points??? You are creative and a thorough recipe researcher.
