This is a juicy burger. Original recipe was to fry this. I grill it. It originated from James Beard. It is delicious. Add flavorings you wish.

This looks great and I think I will try it this weekend.
My little secret is, that I add cream or nonfat condensed milk to scrambled eggs. What a difference!
Thanks for this recipe! : )

Love James Beard recipes, but hadn't seen this one. Thanks for the post! Will try soon.

Original was only 1 tablespoon of whip cream. I love James Beard as well. But, I found in grilling the tablespoon of whip cream was not enough. Again, he did fry them instead of grilling. This is very good and juicy. I find chuck meat the best to use as well. I like to grind my own meat for burgers (lol, when I can!!)

Oh, yeah, this was the good stuff! I pan fried and used just the 1 tablespoon, and we just wished we could eat it slower - it was delicious.

Very tasty and moist. It doesn't hold together too well. Have to be very gentle turning the burger.

I never seemed to have difficulty. Who knows. I only know this is really tasty. James Beard made something great out of a few things. Everyone seems to like this recipe. I make it now and just add the cream! Points I always appreciate your comments! I hope you survived my sweet shoo-fly pie. I love it sweet and gooey!! Happy holiday!
