    I wouldn't make this again only because it only rose a half an inch. It has a nice buttery flavor and a savory taste.
    It took 6 more minutes in the oven to get even an ounce of browning.

    Possibly. It also has less baking powder. Less baking powder than even self-rising flour.

    Reference Whipped Cream Biscuits it has whipping cream and had a good rise.
