    French Fries Waffles
A good way to perk up drive-through fries. I'd like to try it with some greasier ones though! More on the recipe.

Funny timing at her posting this recipe, huh?! Did they all stick together so you had to use a knife and fork? I had not thought of fries in the waffle iron yet so another one to add to my list :) I wonder if there are any other non waffle, waffle iron recipes? I'll take a look.
P.S. Making that broccoli quesadilla WI recipe tomorrow :) Will report back....

They did stick together - yes - except for a couple of little ones that fell away. I broke it apart and ate it with my hands. :-P
That reminds me. I want to check those quesadillas and make one this weekend, too! Thanks for mentioning it! :)

Didn't realize there was a discussion group around here - Using my waffle iron for different uses has been fun. So far, I/ve tried Quesdadillas, grilled cheese sandwiches, 'Stuffing' waffles, mini-biscuit waffles and mashed potato waffles. Don't think there is any limit to these ideas!!

Ml2c and I have been trying different waffle iron things, too, Champagnetime.
I went to a diner yesterday and got some "real" fries. I'm going to try them for breakfast this morning. I'll be back later with a report.

I want a waffle iron now! I couldn't justify buying one before all the cool ideas came out for using one. Now I will have to check out different ones. Do you have a Belgium one or the other kind Frankie?

I just have a regular one, G4U. They don't cost very much! That's why I finally decided to get one. I got this one:

Does your waffle maker come apart or is it as big of a pain in the a*s to clean as mine?

    Here's mine, http://www.amazon.com/Food-Network-Belgian-Waffle-Sections/dp/B004ARZGSA It's okay, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Mine doesn't come apart. I just kinda rinse it under hot water and let it dry in the dish drainer. You probably don't have to clean a waffle iron at all - if you only make waffles in it. :-)
