    Ginger Beef

Family loved this recipe for sure and yes I will be making again. But I did find that the ingredients and directions did not line up as well at least for me. Also a note on the red hot chili pepper take note of the size you get. If you get small 2 or 3 will be needed. I was only able to pick up a big one and only needed 1 and even then had taken out all the seeds.

The recipe does look a little intimidating. I'm confused just looking at the photo. It looks like it's a beautiful soup, but as I read through the recipe, it sounds more like a plate of stir fried meat served with a side of sauce. Am I missing something?

Yah I see what your talking about but for me the finished product did not look like that. Wished that I had taken a pic for sure. Think of meat with a thick sauce as you toss the beef in the with the sauce and carrots and there is not much liquid in the sauce to begin with.

Nadine, I see what you're saying about the directions and ingredients being a bit confusing. I had to read them a couple of times to 'get it'. Glad your family enjoyed it in the end!

How do you squeeze juice out of ginger? Lol, those directions are a joke. Glad you got it figured out though somehow Nadine :)

It actually was easy. I grated the ginger onto a plate then using my spoon press down on the ginger. The juice just flowed out.

I remember when I first joined GR Chefmeow was a posting machine. That was back when we had "Top Foodie" and she always wanted to be number one, which meant posting as many recipes as possible whether you made them or not. I think, as a result, some of her postings are lacking in quite a few things. I kinda tend to avoid them. :)
Ginger juice. That's a new one on me! :)

I noticed that, too. I've passed on a lot of Chefmeow's recipes because they have incomplete instructions or ingredients.
