Recipe: Ginger Orange Butter Broccoli With Cashews

If you are looking for something different for broccoli, this is a good recipe to try. I served it with sushi and it was a perfect match. It didn’t have an overpowering orange taste which is something I’d correct. You know how it is when you drop a tablespoon of butter over hot veggies? It just melts and runs right off. Well, that’s what happened here. My thought is to add more marmalade to make it thicker or at least double the sauce so it gets better coverage. Loved the cashews mixed in. Will definitely be making this one again.

That is just beautiful DIZ! I still haven't tried orange marmalade since the first time I tried it a long time and didn't care for it. I think the recipe I tried used a whole lot of it and that was the problem. I love broccoli and this sounds great!!

Mommyluvs2cook, I don't care for orange marmalade either. I always keep a jar in the fridge just for the off chance I need it for a recipe. It keeps forever!

That looks delicious! Its such a beautiful plate of food.
I love, love orange marmalade. I eat with peanut butter for a sandwich. I have found that it helps to buy a pricier brand. The less expensive one often have big pieces of peel and lots of it. At least that has been my experience.

Yes, FA, that was the problem, it had a TON of peel in it. When I tried it, it was back in the day when we were living pay check to pay check and so yes, it was probably the cheap brand :)

Thank you, LindaLMT! Sometimes I think it's silly to take food photos, yet I can't help myself. It's an addiction! lol!

Thank you, Frankieanne! That's an interesting combo. I might stick one of those in DH's lunch this week and see what he says.
