    Recipe: Ginger Sesame Broccoli Slaw

    Date: Keni Cooking Day 1/30/2016

I was all excited to make this because I had a jar of black sesame seeds on the shelf that was just looking for a purpose. Wouldn’t you know it, I went to add the black sesames, opened the jar and discovered that I mistakenly purchased roasted black "seaweed." So, I used regular sesame seeds and garnished with a pinch of poppy seed. This was pretty good. I can’t believe I got it past my husband! This is not something he would normally go for, but he liked it.

Oh wow that looks great DIZ!! Aww, that's too bad the sesame seeds were really seaweed!? Now what are you going to do with the seaweed lol? I bought a big bag of black sesame seeds at an Asian market. They really are so pretty, but flavor is the same as white to me. Thanks for joining in today!!

I have no idea what to do with the seaweed. It's small flakes and looks like fish food. It says to sprinkle over rice or salads, but I don't know. Oh, well! lol!

Wow, lovely pic DIZ3:) This sounds amazing:) You could probably add the seaweed in some sort of Asian soup as well:)

Fish food. ha Makes me laugh. My parents have a little fish pond. Their fish would probably love your seaweed flakes. :-)
That is a beautiful picture and that slaw looks wonderful. Gorgeous.

Well, doesn't hurt to try it, probably will add a nice salty flavor to whatever you put it on. I like Marie's idea of sprinkling it on Asian soup!
