    Grilled Asparagus/saved by The Cook

    This was just ok. I made as directed and the flavours just don't meld. Dh loves asparagus and ate it but it didn't go over well.

    Looking at the ingredient list, I can see why you said the flavors seemed to compete with each other. Asparagus, lemon juice, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, and olive oil all together sound like an odd combination. That's so disappointing when a new recipe doesn't work out.

    Thanks ladies. I usually grill them with just oil and a little salt too. I sometimes like to try something that sounds different and have found some really great recipes that way.
